About Pearls and Jade Pothos

I have four of these and they're all wildly different despite being the same plant. Slower-growing and more compact than standard Pothos, with smaller leaves that have absolutely stunning variegation. The white edges and cream centers make each leaf look like it was hand-painted.

If you're looking for a trailing plant that won't overtake your shelf in a month, Pearls and Jade is your answer.

How to Care for Pearls and Jade Pothos

Light

Bright indirect light brings out the variegation. Can tolerate lower light but will grow more slowly and the white will fade.

Water

Every 1–2 weeks. Same basic rule: stick your finger in the soil, if the top inch is dry, water.

Humidity

Standard indoor humidity is fine.

Propagation

Ridiculously easy. Snip a node, water propagate, and you'll have roots in 2 weeks.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • More compact than regular Pothos. This is the trailing plant for people with limited shelf space or who don't want aggressive growth.
  • Slower growth is intentional. They're not struggling, they're just naturally slower. That's part of their charm.
  • Variegation is stable. Unlike some variegated pothos, Pearls and Jade don't revert as aggressively.

Best Placement

Perfect for a bright shelf where you want a trailing plant that won't explode in size. Kitchen windowsill or sunroom shelf is ideal.
